AI Video Editing Tools

Use the three free browser utilities below for a specific local task, or explore the AI editing features in Valmera Studio. Studio lets you upload footage, describe cuts, captions, music and framing in chat, review a preview, and export the final MP4. Account creation and upload are free; indexing and AI editing require a subscription.

Free Tools That Run in Your Browser

These utilities work without an account, payment or file upload. Use their local controls to make the change and download the result. They do not use the Studio editing agent.

Free Freeze Frame Tool
Pick a frame, add a 0.3–10 second hold and optional text, then download a video or PNG. Video input is limited to two minutes and export to a 1920-pixel long edge.
Free Color Grading Tool
Apply six preset looks or adjust exposure, contrast, saturation and temperature. Export a clip up to two minutes at a 1920-pixel long edge.
Free Subtitle Timing Shifter
Move SRT or VTT cues earlier or later, or correct consistent timing drift. Copy or download the retimed subtitle file. This utility does not generate captions or edit video.

Free video export runs in real time and depends on your browser's format and audio support; check the tool's messages and keep the tab active. The freeze-frame and color-grading pages also explain their separate Studio workflows for longer edits and AI revisions.

AI Editing Features in Valmera Studio

The categories below describe features of the paid editor. You can combine requests such as "remove the filler words, caption it, and make it 9:16" in the same project, then inspect the combined result. The full AI video editor page covers the complete workflow; the agentic editing guide explains how the agent uses tools to change an edit.

See the free-access guide and current plans before choosing a workflow. Plans start at $15 per month, and credit usage depends on the footage and operations.

How the Paid Studio Workflow Works

  1. 1
    Upload and index
Upload a video up to 14 GB or three hours. A subscription is required for indexing, which analyzes the footage with visible progress. Canvas projects using photos and clips are another option and have different capabilities.
  2. 2
    Type the request
Every tool is a sentence: "remove all the silences", "add karaoke captions", "make it 9:16 for Reels". Combine several jobs in one message and the agent executes them together.
  3. 3
    Review and export in Studio
Watch the preview and request revisions. Start the final MP4 export in Studio after reviewing the current version, then check the downloaded file. Studio exports include a brief Valmera end card.

Longer recordings and more involved edits take more time. These steps describe Studio; the three free utilities above use their own local controls.

Cut & Clean

Tighten the footage: dead air, filler words, repeated takes, and any cut you can describe in a sentence.

Text-Based Video Editing
Edit video by typing: correct the transcript, or type the change and the agent executes it.
Remove Silences, Filler Words & Add Captions
All three jobs from one sentence, in the right order — cuts first, so the captions are timed against the edit.
Remove Silence from Video
Request pause removal with transcript-aware boundaries, review the joins, and restore any moment you want to keep.
Remove Filler Words from Video
Remove selected filler words using transcript timing, then listen for clipped words or changes in meaning.
Remove Repeated Takes
Recorded five takes in one file? The agent detects the repeats and keeps the best one.
Cut Video Online
Describe any cut — a timestamp range or the moment itself — no timeline scrubbing required.
Make Jump Cuts Automatically
Cutting the pauses out of one take IS a jump cut — then punch in, cover, or leave them alone.
AI Clip Maker
Turn a long video into one polished short: reframed to 9:16, captioned, punched in.
Make a Highlight Reel
Many moments from a long recording, joined into one piece — picked from the words, the measured audio, and the frames.

Captions & Text

Word-timed captions and on-screen text, with spelling and style revisions in chat.

Audio

Music, voiceover, and sound effects, in a mix that ducks itself under speech.

Motion & Look

Speed, zooms, transitions, and color — the finishing pass that makes an edit feel produced.

Frame & Create

Reframe for any platform, censor any region of the frame, or build a video from photos.

Remove an Object or a Person
Repaint it out and rebuild the background — plus an honest map of the shots where inpainting fails and what to do instead.
Blur Part of a Video
Blur, pixelate, or black out any region — a face, a username, a plate — through cuts and reframes.
Blur Faces & License Plates
The privacy job specifically: what each censor mode leaves behind, and why a black box is the only real redaction.
Auto Reframe to Vertical
Request a vertical composition using available visual evidence; review subjects, crop-versus-fit choices and each shot.
Resize Video
Choose 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 or 4:5 by crop, padding or blurred bars; review caption layout and final dimensions.
Change Aspect Ratio Mid-Video
Go vertical for one section and back — the frame morphs to another shape and holds it, timing untouched.
AI Slideshow Maker
No footage needed: photos, music, and text become a video on a canvas timeline.
Add B-Roll to a Video
Cover your cuts and illustrate your claims — placed on the word, from your uploads, a stock search, or footage it generates.

Frequently Asked Questions

The local freeze-frame, color-grading and subtitle-timing utilities are free and process the selected file in your browser. Freeze-frame and color-grade video exports support clips up to two minutes and a 1920-pixel long edge; the subtitle utility downloads a retimed SRT or VTT file. Valmera Studio is a separate paid editing workflow: account creation and upload are free, but indexing and editing require a subscription starting at $15 per month.
The three free browser utilities are independent tools with local controls. The AI editing feature pages describe jobs in Valmera Studio, where one upload and chat can combine cuts, captions, music and framing. Review the preview, then start the final export in Studio.
No. The local freeze-frame and color-grade downloads have no watermark or Valmera end card. The standard Valmera paid-plan policy omits overlay watermarks, but service settings can override it. Inspect the actual final file for branding and any end card.
No installation is required. The free video tools depend on browser recording and audio support, so keep the tab active during export and check the tool's compatibility message. Paid Studio accepts uploads up to 14 GB or three hours and renders final MP4 files from the original upload. Each free utility states its own smaller limits.
Valmera indexes the uploaded recording to obtain transcript, silence and visual information. The agent uses that evidence to make edits and render a preview. Transcript errors and difficult joins can still affect the result, so listen around cuts and check caption names, numbers and timing before export.
No. The standalone timing shifter edits timestamps in an existing subtitle file locally. Valmera Studio generates burned-in captions from uploaded footage and does not import or export SRT/VTT files.
