Which style should you use?

  • Fast, loud, entertainment: beast or one word at a time.
  • Talking-head education and business: the Hormozi-style recipe or podcast.
  • Interviews and podcasts: podcast, documentary or karaoke.
  • Tutorials and product videos: clean or the subtitle box.
  • Brands and premium content: elegant, editorial or luxe.

Whatever the style, keep two or three words on screen for vertical video, keep the text clear of the face and of the platform's own buttons, and watch the preview at phone size. To make a batch of shorts with one consistent style, use the AI clip maker. Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants can apply the same styles through the Valmera MCP server.

Limits

Captions are burned into the video. There's no SRT or VTT import or export and no custom font uploads, though 13 font families are bundled. English is the best-tested transcription language, so check names and specialist terms in the preview.

Frequently Asked Questions

Upload your video to Valmera and type “add captions in the beast style.” You get huge all-caps impact type, and the word being spoken pops in an accent color. Change the accent with a sentence such as “make the highlight yellow.” Every word is timed to the audio from a word-level transcript.
Ask for bold all-caps captions in Anton, two words at a time, centered in the middle of the frame, with key words highlighted and a pop animation. Valmera picks the key words from the ones you stress and from numbers, or you can name them: “highlight ‘money’ and ‘free’ every time.”
For most talking-head clips, two to three words at a time, bold, near the middle or lower third, with the spoken word highlighted. That means karaoke, beast or a Hormozi-style recipe. Keep captions clear of the face and of the platform's own buttons, and check the preview on a phone-sized frame.
