Valmera is an agentic AI video editor for footage you already have. Upload a recording, describe the edit in plain English, and the agent cuts, captions, reframes and polishes it, checks its own preview, and you export a full-quality MP4. Quickstart: your first edit in five steps
- Sign up free
Create an account with Google or your email. Creating an account and uploading are free; editing requires a subscription.
- Upload your footage
Drop an MP4, MOV, M4V, MKV or WebM file (up to 14 GB and 3 hours) into Studio.
- Describe the edit
Type what you want, such as “Cut the silences, add captions and make it 9:16.” You can type while Valmera analyzes the video.
- Review and revise
The agent edits, checks its own preview and reports back. Reply with changes or adjust the timeline yourself.
- Export
Click Export MP4 to render the selected version from your original file at full resolution.

MP4, MOV, M4V, MKV and WebM video up to 14 GB and 3 hours per file (both limits apply), images (PNG, JPG, WebP) and audio (MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG) up to 50 MB each. You can also paste a link to import media.
Can Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor edit videos with Valmera?
Yes. Connect Valmera's MCP server at https://valmera.io/mcp/server and your assistant can upload, edit, preview and export the final MP4 with the same tools Valmera's own agent uses.
Can Valmera generate a video from a text prompt?
No. Valmera is not a text-to-video generator; it edits footage you provide. It can find stock b-roll, real footage, songs and sound effects, record websites, and build title cards and graphics inside the edit.
Does Valmera export SRT or VTT subtitle files?
No. Captions are burned into the exported MP4. There is no SRT or VTT import or export.
