# Video revision brief

Use this blank brief with your own footage and observed edit. It is a planning aid, not an example of a completed Valmera edit.

## Identify the reviewed state

- Project:
- Selected history step and version, when available:
- File or preview reviewed:
- Source or preview timestamp (label the clock):
- Quoted words, scene or inserted asset at that moment:

## Choose the starting point

- Latest edit, keeping later approved work; or earlier selected edit, taking a new direction:
- The specific change requested:
- Approved cuts, wording, captions, music and framing to preserve:
- Any later additions to recreate when starting from an earlier state:

## Write the request

In [selected edit/version], at [source or preview time], change [specific passage or asset]. Preserve [approved work]. Check [acceptance criteria] in the resulting preview.

For recognition text, use the transcript line editor. A text correction does not cut the video or replace recorded speech. Transcript corrections are separate from edit history; selecting an earlier edit does not restore earlier transcript wording.

## Review the result

- [ ] The selected edit is the intended starting point.
- [ ] The changed passage matches the request.
- [ ] Neighboring speech, visual actions and sound joins work in context.
- [ ] Approved content remains, including meaningful qualifications.
- [ ] Caption words, timing and placement match the revised edit.
- [ ] The current preview has finished and shows the relevant revision.
- [ ] The intended edit is selected for final rendering in Studio.
- [ ] The downloaded MP4 was inspected through its ending.

## Record the delivered revision

- Final edit/version:
- Delivered filename and date:
- Review outcome or remaining correction:

An already downloaded file stays unchanged when the project is revised. Keep approved final files and identify the intended revision before delivery.
